YFDWD Blog

We've been talking about setting up a website for a while now. I thought that a blog might be a good format for us. I took a little intiative, and I set one up. I thought we could give it a try. The nice thing about the blog is any of us can post on it, and any of us can comment on it. So if we have an announcement, we can post. If we just want to share some encouraging (or discouraging news for that matter) we can do it here. Also, we can post articles, recipes or share ideas. The one down-side, is that we may want to be careful about what information we share. Anyone can visit this blog. A good idea is to use first names only. It also may be a good idea not to post addresses and phone numbers, or even school names -- just for safety reasons. Let me know what you think. We can also add people at any time, I just need to send them an invitation.

Sorry it's taken me so long to get here Kelly, but thank you for this wonderfully inspiring idea. Hmmm...I'm trying to come up with an idea about how we could put this blog website in the Yelm Newspaper to show information regarding the meetings...should we start having a secretary, that puts up notes from the meetings here? Hehe sorry, I always get ahead of myself...just sharing information...this is great though Kelly, thanks!

Kelly, now that life is slowing down (at least I hope so)I have time to come take a view. I love this idea. I want to let everyone know that I have talked to the new director of Parent to Parent. P2P is putting an artical about us in there news letter. People will have my email address or will call P2P to get our information. P2P will take their information and give that to us so we can call them back when it is a good time for us. P2P will be able to help screen the people calling about our group. If we get a lot we might want to think about having our meetings in a public location. Thank for putting this together, Kelly. Also, thanks again for keeping Damon so long yesterday during the funeral. It was greatly apprecated by all. Laurie
